The Most ImportantCARBS!!! Have that bagel you've been avoiding all year, its just the energy you need to finish the race.
Pro Tip: You can carbo-load up to 4 pounds before the event (don't worry you'll burn through it) |
The Most EnergizingCoffee lovers, you're in luck! Recent research shows caffeine boosts performance for endurance athletes and sprinters. Pro Tip: It is most effective to consume 1 hour before the race!

The Most DangerousSorry Girl Scouts, cookies are a no go before your run. Fatty foods, lactose, and refined sugars are all on the list of don'ts (and so are foods high in fiber and spices).
